Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how URGE ("we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use urgechat.app (the "Service").
URGE is operated by Cyan-Inn ("we," "the operator"). You can reach us at project.urgechat@gmail.com.
1. What We Collect
If you use URGE without signing in (anonymous tier)
- We do not create an account or store your session.
- You select from pre-written scenarios; no text you type is sent to our AI provider in this tier.
- Standard analytics (see §3, Google Analytics) may still record your visit.
If you sign in with Google (free tier)
- Your Google account's basic profile information (name, email address, profile photo) as provided by Google Sign-In.
- The text you enter describing a task you want broken into steps.
- Timestamps of when you complete or don't complete each step, used to measure whether our time estimates are realistic.
- Usage counters (how many missions you've started) used solely to enforce the free-tier usage limit.
If you subscribe to a paid tier (not yet available)
- We do not store your card or payment details ourselves. Payment is handled entirely by our payment processor (Merchant of Record), who processes it under their own privacy policy.
Automatically, from anyone who visits
- Standard web analytics via Google Analytics (GA4): pages viewed, approximate location (country/region level), device type, referring link (e.g., which video sent you here). This only loads after you accept cookies (see §4).
2. How We Use It
- To generate your personalized task breakdown (your task text is sent to Google's Vertex AI / Gemini API for processing).
- To enforce free-tier usage limits (8-hour rolling window, daily cap) so the Service remains sustainable.
- To understand whether people who arrive from our promotional videos actually reach and use the app (aggregate analytics only).
- To improve the accuracy of our time estimates (aggregate, not tied to sharing your individual entries with anyone outside the processors below).
We do not use your task text to train any AI model. It is sent to Google's Vertex AI for one-time processing of your request and is not used by us or, per Google Cloud's terms, by Google to train models.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
3. Who We Share It With (Processors)
We use the following service providers, each acting as a data processor under contract:

None of these providers may use your data for their own independent purposes beyond providing the Service to us.
4. Cookies
- Essential — required for the site to function (e.g., remembering that you accepted this policy, session state). These are always active.
- Non-essential (Analytics) — Google Analytics cookies. These are off by default. They are only activated if you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. You can change your mind at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer, which reopens the banner and lets you withdraw consent.
5. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR and the California CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data. Deleting your account deletes your mission history.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Data portability (receive your data in a portable format).
- Withdraw consent for analytics cookies at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

6. Data Retention
- Anonymous-tier usage is not tied to an identity and is not retained beyond standard analytics logs.
- Logged-in accounts and mission data are retained until you delete your account. We do not currently auto-delete inactive accounts; this may change as the Service grows, in which case we will update this policy first.
7. Children's Privacy
URGE is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, children under the age of 16. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it.
8. International Transfers
Our infrastructure runs on Google Cloud in the United States (us-central1 region). If you are located in the EEA, UK, or elsewhere outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US. These transfers are made under the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, as incorporated into Google Cloud's data processing terms.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the Service evolves (e.g., when the paid tier launches). We will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a more visible notice.
